A: It has the potentiasl to ba great car. The reason you see mostly older guys driving old cars is because we can afford them! lol – Seriously, a 73 Camaro is very nice looking and there’s all kinds of great parts available. You’ll be different than all your friends (but maybe you’d rather be part of the flockl?) See this web site for photos:

Q: What are the differences between the 1970-1973 Camaro?
I have a 71 Camaro and I’m not positive if the VIN tag was original and am going to go by details to narrow down the possibilities. What are the differences between the 1970 and 1973 Camaros?
And when I meant differences i didn’t mean be a smart a$$ by saying 3 yrs. difference.

A: The bodies are all the same. There are a few subtle differences in the grills. The 71,72 & 73 years got the high back bucket seats.

There was no difference in the bumpers throughout 70-73. the Camaro had two different bumpers. The RS version had the split bumper and the non-RS had the full length bumper.

Q: How much should I try and sell a 1973 camaro for?

Q: Where can I find a 1973 Camaro LT side molding?
Hello, I’m helping my dad find the correct side molding for the 73 LT and I can’t seem to find anyone with them, if I call people and ask, they tell me they don’t know where to find them. Here’s what I’m looking for: http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93386

A: Year One is the company to use. Good Luck.

Q: In my local area there is a 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 selling for $9,900. What do I need to look for on it?
I have already looked at and it appears to be very good condition. I even test drived and it handle pretty well. I am new to buying classics, so what do I need to look for specificly? Later I will be taking pictures if that would help. I just want to make sure this car doesnt sound to good to be true for such a price. Any advice would help.

A: Mate if you’re going to be buying a 35 year old car have a mechanic check over it….
Rust is an obvious one, check EVERYWHERE. Personally I’d rather an old car with a great body, than great mechanics. The mechanical side of things can be fixed easier lol.

Q: Where can i find project car such as a 1970-1973 camaro?
if you know if anyone is selling one in the state of california preferably orange county, please feel free to email me at spidertoyxj5@yahoo.com

A: yes it is.

Q: 1973 Camaro “muscle car” – thoughts?
I’m a 35 year old guy without a mechanical bone in his body thinking about buying a 1973 Camaro or other similar late ’60’s, early 70’s muscle car. It would not be my primary mode of transport – just a fun toy to play with on weekends. I’m intrigued by the idea of refurbishing it – more interior stuff then engine work (I’ve never even changed my own oil, much less worked on a car). My friends think I’m insane, but I think it could be kinda cool. Am I being naive/foolish to think this? Any thoughts, comments, and/or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A: I own a shop, a race car & truck, an old Chevelle, and an old Mustang. I would think I would get something a little older as the 72 and newer vehicles were not really considered as Muscle Cars. In 1971 the horsepower was cut way down on all vehicles, so the Muscle Cars were from the early sixties to the 1970 year models. There is a lot of muscle car information out there, and it would do you good to take a magazine called muscle car, or hot rod in order to educate yourself more on the subject. No you are not crazy, and it is in fact a very popular hobby. Not to mention these old cars are going up in value like crazy (watch Barrett Jackson on the speed channel) and you will see what I’m talking about. It’s nothing now to see one go for as much as $500,000, but there are still plenty of them for the $30,000 range left, but they won’t be for long. If you invest in one now, and keep it for ten years, I could easily think it would tripple in value by then. Remember, they don’t make any more of them, and the few that are left are going fast. I have seen some break the one million dollar mark in value already, so whats not to like about that?
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Q: Did the 1973 Camaro LT’s have side pipes?
I have a 1973 Camaro LT I recently purchased and was wondering if some of them originally had side pipes. Does anyone know?

A: Originally, no, they never had sidepipes. Somebody added them. It was big in the 70’s & 80″s to add them.
