Q: 2002 Camaro????
if i were to buy a used 2002 camaro off a dealer ship how much am i looking at price wise??

A: For a 2002 V-6 Camaro 8,000 – 11,000 with around 70,000 miles
For a 2002 V-8 Camaro z28 9,000 – 13,000 with around 70,000 miles
For a 2002 V-8 Camaro SS 35Th anniversary 11,000 – 16,000 with around 70,000 miles

All are estimates from Kelly blue book and all are coupes no convertables

Q: Why does a 2002 camaro z28 beat a 2010 camaro v6 in fuel economy and performance?
The new v6 camaro gets 26 mpg on the highway, 300 hp, and a 0-60 time of 6.1. A 2002 camaro z28 gets 26 mpg highway, 305 hp, and a 0-60 time of 5.3.

A: First off, despite being rated at 305hp, they actually make 350hp. Second, those numbers are ESTIMATES. A lot of variables decide the fuel economy of vehicles.

Q: How do I remove a driveplate inspection cover on a 2002 camaro?
I’m trying to change the oil pan gasket on a 2002 v6 camaro and my Chilton book tells me to remove the driveplate inspection cover but i have no clue what it is.

A: The cover is just behind the engine on the bottom side. It is basically the lower section of the bellhousing, right behind the oil pan.

Q: Could you modify a 2002 Camaro SS to beat a brand new GT500 mustang?
Im a fan of Camaro, i like mustang too, but im wondering if i bought a 2002 camaro ss for cheap (Since the economy is so bad) could i supercharge it or do something to it to make gt500’s s**** itself? My friend has one, i’d definitly like to show it up lol.

A: as far as the 2002s go the ss is actually a collectors edition so they are pretty expensive..go with the z28 the difference is only 15 hp which comes mostly from the different exhaust which you will probably change anyways. but ya you put a pro charger, some heads, exhaust, and intake and that shit will rip it..the ls1 is amazing.. btw i have a 2002 z28 for sale :D let me know

Q: how do I take off and replace my window motor on a 2002 chevy camaro?
I am trying to replace the window motor on my 2002 chevy camaro on the drivers side. any instructions, tips, or any suggestions on places I can look for help will be well appreciated.

A: Does the Camaro use the ’scissors’ system or a belt in a track?
I have had to replace window motors in my Olds Cutlass Ciera and it was the belt in a track system. A repair manual won’t be any help, it can’t say anything about windows because they are a ‘hazard’ (glass). Unless I know what kind of system it is, this is the best I can tell you.

First you will need to first take off the door panel. You will see that the window apparatus is very hard to get to; this is a tougher job than one would expect. You will need to detach the two brackets that hold the window up from the window by loosening bolts on the brackets. Then you will need to detach the window motor from the inside of the door (and anything else holding the apparatus in there) by drilling out the bolts with a power drill. You will then have to find a way to remove the entire assembly from the inside of the door. This may take a while, but it is, in fact, possible. Once you’ve got the assembly out, replace the motor itself and repeat the process in reverse!

Hope this information is relevant. Like I said, I have never specifically done Camaro windows, but I think this should be a basic outline of what you need to do. I was never able to find any printed information about mine when I did them.
Good luck!

Q: what engine size does the 1994 – 2002 chevrolet camaro have?
what size engine does the 1994 – 2002 camaro have?

A: what apoo said…

…and sayit…chevy doesn’t make a 5.2L lol…some people need to stay off of these boards…

Q: how much does a 2002 Chevrolet camaro SS hatchback cost ?
I wan toget a 2002 chevrolet camaro hatchback in good shape, good milage, 4 or 5 seater, and all that other stuff.

A: alright, first off, this is a question you should research yourself. second, camaros don’t come in 5 seaters bud. and what is so special about a 2002? 2001’s are just as good, so are 2000’s and 1999’s (98’s have electrical problems).

Q: Where could I find a replacement door for my 2002 camaro?
I got hit in the driver side of my camaro but I can’t find a replacement anywhere.

A: Junkyard
Craigslist
Local car forums almost ALWAYS have someone parting out something or know someone who knows someone that has one.
Ebay
Dealership, but be ready to pay alot more then anywhere else.

Q: 2002 Camaro 35th anniversary start problems?
Heres the situation,

My friend has an 02 Camaro 35th ann. The engine does not want to start. You can turn the key to the “start” position, and the starter engages, but it just cranks, over and over. We checked the fuel rails, and there was fuel with pressure. I myself am a Ford guy, but i try to help whoever i can. any ideas? my guess would be the ignition is turned off by the ECU…idk, I am as lost as he is. it has a brand new batterey too.

A: make sure the spark plugs are sparking
and of course that its on park

Q: Whats the difference between 2002 Camaro SS and Camaro Z28?
I’m interested in purchasing so I looked up the specs and they seem to be the same it’s probably just minor stuff but please share any info.

A: You’re correct.

I most meaningful ways, the SS trim level already includes much of the Z28. Additional differences include suspension and handling differences, different wheel sizes and options, and other, mostly cosmetic, badging and interior trim fitments.

The best thing you can do is avoid “faux” cosmetics like hood scoops that don’t feed a carburetor or supercharger or a spoiler that doesn’t provide any beneficial downforce like are often plastered on the Z28’s (and regrettably some Mustangs to this very day).

Nothing screams “poser” louder than a driving around with bunch of plastic stuck to a car that serves no purpose and usually actually creates additional wind noise and resistance . Clean, functional, and performance-enhancing is the only kind of “sexy” that’s worth having, especially if you have to pay extra for it.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Q: How much would it cost to drop a v8 in a 2002 Camaro?
I have a moderate knowledge about cars but never have done anything major like this
I’m not sure right now what all I could use from the v6 that’s in there but I know I’d need, for one, the block, new suspension etc
For everything I’d need how expensive would it be and where should I buy it from
Should I just get a relatively good shape donor car from a salvage yard or buy like an ls1

A: You will save ALOT of money getting a LT1 instead. With the money your going to pay for the LS1 you could buy a LT1 and make it more powerful than a LS1.

The LS1 only has 30-40 hp more than the LT1 (That’s not a big deal)

You can get 30-40 hp from a few bolt-ons

I don’t know how true it is but they say LT1′a produce alittle more torque

Q: How much horsepower does a 2002 Camaro Z28 that runs 12.5 in the 1/4 mile have?
The speed at the 1/4 mile mark is 115 mph. The car has regular street tires. It is mostly stock, with a Vortec supercharger.

How much hp does this car have?

A: If the car is otherwise stock it will have right around 400.LS1’s run strong in the 1/4.If the car your talking about gets some decent tires and some gears it will run reasonably faster then a 12.5.

Q: replacing speakers in 2002 chevrolet camaro?
Hi, I have a base edition 2002 Camaro with the 4 speaker system. The radio has the built in CD player, and thats it! I would love to upgrade the speakers, but I hate the look of aftermarket radios. My question is, can you replace the speakers and leave the radio alone? Do you have to replace all the wires and all of that mess or can you just pop in new speakers? What speakers would you recommend. Nothing extreme, but nothing cheap :-) THANKS!

A: you can change them with little problem may need to splice them together

Q: What exhaust tips should i get for my 2002 Camaro?
iam putting 3.5 inch pipes on and i need to find nice looking tips to put on

A: try and get twin tips Dual exaust…. Biggest Possible!!!
My goodness it would look nice. OR side pipes would look badass coming out just in front of the rear wheels.
Camaros desearve a more muscle look.

Q: What is the best headlights I can get for a 2002 Camaro?
I have to replace the entire headlight since I hit two boars at night on the road. I don’t want that to happen again, so what are the very best headlights available (fixture, bulb, anything) and where can I get them?
I don’t mind spending a good amount of money on them, I figure they’ll be cheaper then replacing my front end again.
I also mean any brands that anyone might prefer.
This is to replace the normal headlights

A: You could get the xenon HID lights, they’re very expensive. They throw more light than halogen bulbs. You could find them online I would guess, maybe JC Whitney.
