A: Same thing it means on all of the other chevy models: it’s the base (entry-level) trim level for that model. The trim levels for the Camaro are LS, RS, 1SS and 2SS if I remember right, with LS being the lowest trim level and 2SS being the top trim/performance level

A: Yes, the new Camaro is the Flagship of the new Chevy models. It also will give them an opportunity to work the kinks out of the current model and come back better than ever.

Q: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS or 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0?
Looking into getting something to have a little fun with, which of these two vehicles is the better value in your opinion?
This is going to be a weekend car only, so reliability isn’t as big of a deal to me.

A: Mustang for sure! It drives better, is slightly faster through the 1/4 mile, stops quicker, has more storage space… If you get the Camaro then have fun with it! But I have driven both, and the Camaro has horrible blind spots, the interior is crap, there is no “usable” back seat, and it doesn’t get the best of gas mileage. The Mustang 5.0 is the more practical and logical choice. I’m six foot and my head hits the roof on the Camaro, not to mention seeing out the front window, which is a challenge no matter your height. The mustang starts off about 3-4k cheaper as well.

the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is coming out in the spring of 2009. when it first comes out the price will be $23,000.00 (23 thousand dollars). I was wondering how much the price will drop by 2011. for how much would i be able to buy a used 2010 Camaro Coupe in 2011?

A: From the dealer as a trade in? Not too much. But if you can find one locally- it will have lost tons of value. You could probabley find one for 14 locally after a year. At the dealer, a couple grand less- probabley 18 at the least.

Q: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?
I currently drive a 2002 PT Cruiser, and am still making payments on it, i think i still owe around 5,000 on it. I plan on buying a Camaro next August during the blowout sales to make room for the 2011 cars. So by then ill probly owe 2900 or so on it. Do you think the dealer will buy the car off me? I have excellent credit and a steady job. And is the car worth the high payments, and high insurance rates?

A: There are several places lik Cars.com and JD Byrider that may “buy” your present car from you. The Chevrolet dealer will most assuredly take it on trade. You would probably be better off selling it outright yourself, but I am almost positive they will take it on trade.

The new Camaro is very nice, and the insurance may not be as high as you think. Check it out to be sure.

Q: will a 2011 manual camaro roll backwards on hills?
My father was going to buy me an automatic camaro, however, he feels that the price is too high. However, a manual camaro is within his price range (although at the very top) and so he would consider it. From past experience, however, he and I both know that any manual vehicle will roll backwards on a hill. Upon asking, the Chevrolet salesman told us that this was no longer true and a manual camaro’s rpm’s are set so that it will no roll backwards. Could anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks!!!

A: Like a previous poster said there is cars with anti-rollback options, no Chevy that I have heard of has this. An automatic will also roll on a hill if it is steep enough. However with a manual transmission and a powerful engine (even the V6 engine is 300HP), you don’t have to give the engine any gas to keep it alive as you slowly let up off the clutch when it is in first gear. When you see the RPM drop release the brake pedal and you are on your way. Once you let up fully on the clutch then you push the gas pedal. Never rest your foot on the clutch pedal, you’ll slip the clutch and have to replace it. Don’t let the clutch chatter, use more gas or less clutch engagement to eliminate clutch chatter.

Another method I used when I was first learning to drive a manual was to use the parking brake when I was on an incline. Now instead of having your foot on the brake pedal, you have it on the gas and clutch and use your shift hand to release the parking brake after you have put it into first and have released the clutch slowly until you see an RPM drop.

A lot of people have told me ford vehicles are horrible..is it true? I like the look of both cars but which would be best in snow; or on ice?

A: I would say the Camaro is a much better car and made by a much better company. My dad owned a mustang and it had horrible orange peel and Ford would not do anything about it for him. The Camaro will also come with and LS3 that has plenty of power but gets really good gas mileage on the highway. As for snow and ice, the Shelby will come with high performance sport tires that will never handle on snow and ice and have little traction on rain even. Also, if you want a sportier look out of the camaro you can get the SS RS package and as for speed, there are several supercharger available. I don’t know what your price range is but take a look at the Hennesey Camaro. I hope this has helped.

Yea you could say all you want that they got goverment money our tax dollars. But it was not as much as Bernie Madoff and his cronies who stole $65 from people all around the world.
I love the old american cars todays american made cars are made too cheaply. I cant believe that gm is getting rid of pontiac.
By 2010 or 2011 gm is only going to make gmc,cadillac,buick,and chevrolet cars.
I am 16 and I plan to buy american cars but not a ford i really like the g8 as my first car in the future or the camaro.
I think that USA cars will soon not be made becuz to many ppl want foreign cars. I think its sad if this ever happened america was the first to have an assembly line which Henry ford invented.

Chrysler will probally never become an actual company that is considered in the top 2 automakers, because they will be making little crap vehicles now

Poor Gm on the other hand is getting rid of a brand that has been known and trusted for decades, while also getting rid of the worlds most favored offroad niche vehicle, the Hummer, which is a terrible decision, Hummer has got to be the best vehicle line they’ve bought/formed in decades

Wow seriously, how can you compare asian crap to real vehicles?
